  RFID on the verge of breakthrough
  From 2007 onwards investments will increase substantially reaching a volume of 3 billion Dollars by 2010. But even as of today RFID chips are used in logistics as a support of transport and material management. RFID technology makes it possible to schedule the deployment and the storage of goods more efficiently. According to Gartner, chips are not about to replace the currently used barcodes but they will be applied increasingly often for mobile data collection.
